Monday Off

This week has been utterly crazy...working from Monday to Friday, then some events on the Saturday and Sunday that were actually very special and nice but leaves me exhausted at the end....Dhanika's wedding (congrats, babe!), then the art workshop (thanks, committees!)...hhmm...I really really need a rest, so I chose to take a day off today, as I am not feeling very well myself...sorry for the lack of posts! :)

The Tree of Life

There are countless life scenarios available for us humans waiting in the future. Neither do we know nor do we need to know about which we will submit ourselves to. One thing for sure though, they are consequences of our today.

Yesterday's Promise

What I Wore Today

Did some shopping today, will post about it tomorrow...

Time to hit the bed...zzzzzzz...:)

Finally, some good news...:)

A long looooooong time ago, Sharjeel and I joined a t-shirt design competition for Pakwheels.com...it was way back on June 2007 (and that's like, 1 year ago?), that I hardly even remember about it since we never received any follow-up since then....

But the good news, turns out we won! Yaaaaaaaaayyyyyy...our design got selected, and is now the official merchandise of their website...so happy....:)

Here's one of the Pakwheel guys sporting the new t-shirt....

Cheers to us, love! :)

Check..Check...1 2 3...

Yayyyyyyyy!!! I've been asked to be a speaker for an upcoming art workshop in Bandung...so happppyyyy....:)

If only Sharjeel, if only you can be there to stand in between the crowd and give me the support while I'll be talking but having my eyes just on you....then we'll have a wonderful dinner at Kampung Daun afterwards...sigh....

It Leaves Me Confused...

This, is an Eley Kishimoto pleated collar printed shirt, priced $486 $389...

If only the world knew, there are millions of shirts like these in Indonesia, cuz hey, that's a batik print as a matter of fact, and you can literally get these for only $25, with quality.

Arrrgghhhh....I am confused on whether to laugh or be angry....help.

Do That Fringe

Boessert/Schorn fringe shirts, available at Creatures of Comfort...

I say, we've got some DIY works to do....:)

Define 'Shopping'

From reading my blog, one might think that I’m such a crazy shopaholic. Just to clarify the misconception, I love to shop, but not to the level where I get mad when I don’t. It’s pretty clear that this is how every woman is, well, at least those around me. We just love to shop, just like how men love to play games or get deeply involved in gadgets or automotives. A man’s pleasure in placing a heart- thumping audio system in the back of their car would be as much as me getting a pair of gladiator sandals, only cheaper if you noticed. But this is not what I wanted to discuss about actually. One thing that pretty bugs me, is about the comments I receive regarding me spending too much money on shopping. So let’s get this straight.

1) I’m a working young lady, so how much I spend is pretty much my business since I’m the one making the money after all.
2) I took accounting classes in both my undergrad and postgrad study, so I think I should be knowing how to control my expenses, savings, investments and the like well enough.
3) When we talk about ‘spending too much’, one should understand the concept of expenditure versus income ratio. So when you say ‘too much’ once again, make sure you’ve performed an investigation on how much my monthly paycheck is. If it’s larger than 2:5, then you know where to contact me.
4) It’s true that I more often than not post about my shopping finds and all, but that doesn’t mean those are the only things I think about in this life. I’ve got tons of other issues goin on inside my mind, but I don’t feel the need to write them up in my blog, otherwise I would feel naked in this world not having any privacy.

Well, that’s about it I guess. Hope this sheds light on some of you people out there.

Thank you for reading hehehehhehe…xoxo :)

If Only I Could Be As Smart At That Guy in 21

Soooooooooooo sorry for the lack of posts lately...work's just been very busy that I've been spending my nights continuing my work at home...sigh...

I had some good time though on last Friday, going to the thrift shop near my office (again) hehehhe....here are the items I got....:)

A pink satin dress with such cute puffy sleeves (which, fyi, is my favorite part), floral sheer dress (best buy!), and vintage geeky glasses...:)

What I Wore to Work Today

Today was Dina's birthday so we had a mini celebration at Izzi Pizza after work... Happy 24th, love!!

And no investment on the street pays larger dividends,
For life is more than stocks and bonds, and love than rate percent".

To laugh signals joy
Through eyes one can plainly see
But is the heart as discernible
That only I can truly feel

Talks continue to linger
To the mind that cannot sleep
Eyes wide shut
Though truth I cannot cut

Need to Sleep

My hands are shaking right now, shaking as in seriously shaking while typing this. I think I'm too tired. Went for yoga after work, then continued meeting up with my friends till late night. I think I shud sleep. Adios, people.

The Look for Less but More

I've been eye-ing this lace peep toe heels for quite some time, but I think I'll have to accept the fact that they'll never make it to Indonesia.

So, an alternative was to find a reliable shoemaker in town, who can make the exact version of this shoe, only cheaper (and perhaps, lower quality...duh)...and I found one!! I won't mention the name or location where to find the person though for now, at least not until I see the result...:p

Since the shoe is gonna be made from scratch, I can then do a lot of changes according to my personal desire. I decided to change the material into satin (in hopes of a sexier feel and look hehehhe), and in this color:

Can't wait to see how it turns out!! :D

Zipper Complex

Inspired by the LnA zipper leggings I once posted about, I decided to add the blue zippers I bought onto my leggings....:)

Stand Up, Speak Up.

Let out all of your thoughts and just say whatever you have to say (in a polite way). Not only it lessens your burden, people in fact appreciates you more for it.

The Attempt of Beautifying the Ugly

I was going through my old shoe closet this afternoon, and just remembered that I once got a hand-me -down Dr. Martens shoe from my cousin, Dite.. woohoooo!!!!!!

They do look kinda weird on me, running totally huge on my skinny legs heheh...but what the heck, ugly is the new cool hahah...
